Motherboard vendors have so many identical motherboards and it is so hard to tell what does what. Asrock for instance has four nearly identical Z97M motherboards. Only with a detailed comparison can you see the difference:
- Z97M OC Formula and the Fatality are both $135. There doesn’t seem to be any difference except for a “special USB” port (not sure what that is) and slightly different capacitors. So get the cheaper one.
- Z97M Anniversary. This doesn’t have an M.2 port
- Z97M Pro4. The main difference is only one PCI Express slot, so it is good for non-SLI configurations. That is for business professionals.
