I never thought I’d need this but it is super handy. Supposedly you hold the Play button and on the AppleTV you will get a dialog that gives you the speakers and then a list of all the AirPods on your account which is pretty cool.
This didn’t actually work for me but on the thing that did work is on the AppleTV you go to settings > remotes and devices > Bluetooth and if you have your AirPods in you can iust connect. Which is really convenient!
