Have you ever had this problem? Sometimes, the keyboard and the mouse just refuse to connect. Dave Meehan has some good tips. Basically they are:

  1. For the keyboard, put in new battery and HOLD down the Power button while powering up, this will reset the pairing.
  2. For the mouse, if it doesn’t connect, oftentimes it is low battery problems (particularly if you are using rechargeables). He says he gets six months out of his alkaline batteries, I’ve never got anything close to that. But taking out the batteries and putting fresh ones and turning it on seems to help.

Then you start Bluetooth and preferences and see if the keyboard and/or mouse appear.
These things by the way have a bias, they will tend to pair with whatever was connected last. So you do have to remember what connected with what.
