Ok, I’ve been using these rewards portals more and they can result in quite a bit of savings, but sometimes, these rewards links just don’t seem to work. The idea is that you just click from one site to another. I don’t know if it is because of the ad blockers (I now turn them off for these sites), but here’s a list of what works and didn’t work. There doesn’t appear to be anyway to complain or even contact rewardsshopping.com and they say you have to wait for up to 60 days, but I highly suspect some of these don’t work.
And here is the wall of shame. Some pretty big ones here and not surprisingly these are the high point guys. One thing about this portal (different than say the United Mileage Plus Shopping Portal) is that you have to use your qualifying Merrill Lynch card for this to work. I did for Expedia for sure and it still didn’t work!

  • Expedia.com (This is a big one as we tried booking to get lots of points. Sigh). 5 points per dollar
  • Campmor.com. six points per dollar
  • Moosejaw. five point per dollar

The jury is still out (but what I now do is try a small transaction to see if the link actually works):

  • ebags.com

So here’s a list of what has worked for me mainly so I don’t forget:

  • Newegg.com
  • RadioShack
  • Rakuten (formerly buy.com)
  • TigerDirect
  • Overstock
  • Sony Store
  • Staples
  • Giftcardmall.com
  • REI
  • Magazines.com
  • Abt Electronics
  • Auto Anything
  • Walmart.com
