Yikes, you can get this error on your own site if you (like me!) sometimes forget your passwords and use an automatic connection like Scribefire. In my case, I mistyped the password so Better WP Security locks my own IP out. Now when I try to access tongfamily.com, I get some strange errors:
- 403 forbidden errors. These actually lock out not only tongfamily but everything hosted.
- error. If you keep clicking, you don’t even get a 404, just a web page with the word error on it.
The solution is to wait 15 minutes (sigh) or to manually deleted the plugins by ftp into the site and removing them from the plugin directory. You are warned
And somehow then wordfence is on too high, its .htaccess shuts down everything.
The solution is to delete and reinstall it.
