Garmin Ant+ Foot Pod

I have one of these and stupidly left it in the car, so I’m sure it has been working for months. Now the battery is dead. Fortunately. DCRainMaker has all kinds of FAQs about this and most importantly how to turn the back and stick in the CR2032 battery!

Does it matter which way I put the foot pod on?

Is there any difference between the different non-Garmin foot pods out there?
A: In short, no.  The non-Garmin ones are OEM variants of one of the older Garmin versions, so aside from marketing, they’re all the same.  The new Garmin ones though are the smallest ones on the market today though, whereas the non-Garmin ones are a bit bulkier.
