Installing Red River paper ICCs

I keep losing how to install this for the custom paper I have from Red River, here’s how but when I do all this the photo comes out very red when I use it with PhotoPro RGB color space (a 16-bit space) but still looks over red even with Adobe RGB and then there is a small sheet of paper saying that for Canon printers that you should reduce saturation by 10% so trying that seems to help…

Step One

Double click on the zipped file you downloaded from our site ICC Profiles

Step Two

Copy and paste the profile (the colorful icon file) to the proper folder below.

Apple OS 10.4 and up	ICC File Folder Location
This is the standard location for profiles	Library > Colorsync > Profiles

If you do not see the profile available in Photoshop or other software try this location.	Library > Colorsync > Profiles > Profiles

If you encounter problems in color management or odd software behavior try putting profiles in this alternative location. And here is how to use them with Photoshop CS5 and the Canon i9900: Make sure the color space to by converting the profile to Adobe RGB from working space of ProPhoto RGB Select these options in the Print dialog, Black Point Compensation, Perceptual, Paper type to 68lb UltraPro Gloss and make sure you have the setting for portrait and then the bottom part of the photo and the left gets cut off by 0.5 and 1 inch respectively. In the Print dialog, under paper handling select Other Glossy Paper and choose Maximum Print Quality	User > Library > Colorsync > Profiles
