Nissan Leaf

I don’t know if it is the perfect car, but the Nissan Leaf sounds pretty amazing. $33K with $25K if you qualify for the federal subsidy. It looks pretty cool, goes 100 miles and uses Lithium Ion batteries. Plus, it is a hatchback. Wow.

It has a 240V charger that recharges in 30 minutes to 80%. It even has a GPS that tells you what the remaining range is. It should ship in 2011 and they are taking $99 refundable deposits now. The Ford Focus EV is the closest to it and also will ship in 2011. Would be nice to buy American and the Focus is a decent small car.
